October Second Already???

Wow.. is it already October 2nd? Where did summer go... And boy did I have a great one... didn't even notice all the rain... got over 12,000 kms on 2 bikes... went from a relaxed cruiser to a super fast, super fun sport bike... met some awesome people, spent lots of time with my sister and brother-in-law... made new friends... had new experiences... attended my first live races, went on my first big bike trip (did 2 actually)... joined an online dating service... this was probably one of the best summers ever! Moved out on my own... just me and the little man... and got a promotion at work! A big finish to my exciting summer!

But... all good things must come to an end... In a month, the bike will be put away, the summer flings and friendships will fade as the snow rolls in (as we all hibernate in the winter), and all I will have left is my Internet, my online dating... and well the friends that have been there all along for the ride...

But I'm ready for the long winter months... buying new clothes all the time (bras, underwear, footwear... all the necessities!). Bought a DVD machine for my cable less TV... Still no couch, but working on that! Connecting with high school girlfriends, making sure they'll come visit on my lonely nights... Bought a cell phone with unlimited texting and evenings... All is in order!

Can you believe that my ex has been gone since May 1st.. that's five months ago... almost half a year... Crazy! I've been on many dates, seen many a guy... even made a friend for those special needs... but nothing else... no "the one".... Himself, 2 girls only, not multiple dates, or girls.. only two! Maybe I'm too picky, maybe I still don't know what I want... maybe I know too much, and I just haven't found him yet... Gotta kiss many frogs to find my Prince, right?

Anyways... the winter is gonna be a hard one... but next summer is only about, hey... 5 months away! I can do that... 5 months!
