Not Such a Baby Anymore...

The last year has been a difficult one on my entire family, including my 3 year old son. Although, since we've been on our own, without daddy or grandma, he has changed...

His tantrums are less, he laughs more and he NEVER shuts up... I love that! From the moment I pick him up from daycare to the minute he goes to bed, he tells me all about his day. Some stories are true, some are made up.He tels me al about his friends that did bad things.. and funny, he never does anything wrong!

Last night, I decided to take him out for dinner... you see... Mommy never takes Shay out for dinner cause he usually doesn't behave. Runs around the restaurant, yelling pipi and caca, stand on his chair and yells more fun words... last time we tried, I told him that we would never come again, cause he wasn't very good. So when I asked him if he wanted to go, he was very excited, and made it clear to me that hewould sit, eat and listen... be a good boy. I believed him...

So off we went... mommy-son date... just me and him... He chose the table,went and got himself a booster chair. He ordered a glass of milk, and we set off to get our food (Chinese buffet). He wanted fries and chicken balls on his plate... typical Chinese food! We headed back to our table, and sat like 2 adults, eating and talking about our day! It was amazing!

He tried Soya sauce... didn't like it... tried a lemon... didn't like that either! We returned to the buffet and he had 2 helpings of purple ice cream! We laughed and truly had a good time... and for hte first time in a long time, we didn't leave the place in tears or in the football-under-the-arm move! LOL!

Last night, Shay was a big boy! I gave him big kisses and high fives in the car and we headed home. I think I might start a regualr date night out with my boy... maybe next time we'll try Boston Pizza!

I have the best kid in the world!!! Only one thing... Next we work on the shower/bath... goodnight!
